Department of Botany
The Botany Department of the college is known for its academic excellence and student participation. The faculty members of the Botany department are well qualified and have a high inclination towards research. The Department has produced hundreds of graduates and postgraduates in Botany, who understand the role of classical knowledge as well as practical use of the subject in the development of mankind. The department has also developed a student centric botanical garden with vermicompost unit which is a result of the hard work and imagination of the members of the department. The faculty members are consistently committed towards research work. Some of the faculty members have published several text books for UG students. The department teaches all the essential topics at the UG level and teaches Ethnobotany, Pathology, Industrial Microbiology and other important topics at the PG level.
