Department of Psychology

The Psychology Department of the Govt P G College Guna (MP), India was established in the year 1964. The department caters to four year B.A. programme is continuously upgrading itself to the changing curriculum and to CBCS systems according to NEP and M.A (Psychology) programme is continuously upgrading itself to the changing curriculum and to semester system. Both courses are available regular and private mode.

Goals, Vision & Mission:

The goal of department - the scientific study of the mind and behaviour—has four main goals:

  • To describe behaviour
  • To explain behaviour to predict behaviour to change behaviour* To prepare students for counsellor and teachers in university, college, schools, industry, hospital, business and career centre etc.
  • To be among the nation’s premier small research and teaching Psychology departments.
  • To create, share, and apply knowledge in Psychology, including in interdisciplinary areas that extend the scope psychology and benefit humanity.
  • To educate students to be successful ethical, and effective problem solvers who will contribute positively to the economic well-being of our region
